Build Together
Ruarri Miller on East Providence
In 2022 I ran for Mayor of East Providence on a simple idea: a city gets better when the people who live and work in it understand how it actually works, and then build on that together. The campaign ended. The curiosity did not.
This site is where I keep working through the questions that shaped that run: why housing costs what it does here, what it takes for a small business to grow on Bullocks Point or Taunton Avenue, how the city budget is actually put together, and how a town of 47,000 people makes decisions about its own future. I try to start from the numbers and show my work.
I own East Bay Air Systems, a heat pump company based in East Providence, and spent the better part of a decade renovating buildings in Riverside Square through The Apiary. I serve as Vice President of Riverside Little League and coach youth baseball. Everything I write here comes from that vantage point: someone who lives, works, builds and pays taxes in this city.
